listless

Friday I was list-less. Things to do, but none of it written down. The things, they remained un-done.
The thing about things to do is that once you do them, there’s always the next thing lining up to join the queue.
The  exercise was to write down the first line of lyrics to your favorite song OR to turn on the radio and write down the first line of lyrics you hear. Set your timer for 5 minutes and write

down the first words that come into your head after writing the prompt.

"Does the noise in my head bother you?"

Do you drown it out with your own noise?
Do you hear me?  Do you understand? Do you care, do I count?

Does the noise in my head bother you?

Do you talk a little louder to cover the sound?
Do you know? Do you feel? Do you hurt, do I matter?

Does the noise in YOUR head bother you?

I hear it mixed with mine
I know,  I understand, I care, you count

Does the noise in your head bother you?

It bothers me ..........
coming to  JD Salinger...Catcher in the Rye....what do you do about true feelings...
It was that kind of a crazy afternoon, terrifically cold, and no sun out or anything, and you felt like you were disappearing every time you crossed a road

It's funny.  All you have to do is say something nobody understands and they'll do practically anything you want them to

Life is a game boy. Life is a game that one plays according to the rules.

just so

When the Master governs, the people
Are hardly aware that he exists.
Next best is a leader who is loved.
Next, one who is feared.
The worst is one who is despised.

If you don't trust the people,
you make them untrustworthy.

The Master doesn't talk, he acts.
When his work is done,
The people say, "Amazing:
We did it, all by ourselves!"
--Stephen Mitchell (trans 1988)
LIVE your life!
If it's not fun, don't do it... If it's gotta be done, make it fun!

giving endlessly

“I want to give to you, not from what I can gain, but because I truly care about you.”
Telling someone how you feel does not hurt as much as not saying anything at all to that someone who is deeply in love with you.

  • "You are what you love. Not what loves you."

  • It’s easy for me to get carried away, and want to hold on to people I care for so intensely. I want ownership. I want them to be mine, always.
But of course, that doesn’t usually work out.
So I guess this is about letting go without loving any less.To love without expectations may very well be to give up love as aspired toward. That is, that if you are to truly love without any expectations at all, you must love enough to be willing to give that love up
    bitterseeet pleasure.

    universal experience

I'm providing my own, personal master list of painful music, which lists those songs with which I masochistically bombard myself when I'm feeling lonely or sad.On My Own", from Les Miserables -
The classic unrequited love song. I first listened to this song when I was a senior in high school and was, at the time, lost in the quagmire of what was my first experience that I can legitimately call "love". Every line was a stab to my heart, perfectly reflecting my own situation. Its accuracy was startling for me then, and remains so even now.
"Feels Like Home", from Randy Newman's Faust -
This is obviously just a statement of my own personal opinion, but... BEST LOVE SONG EVER. This is a relatively plain, straightforward piece; lyrically simple, very light orchestration. Just two verses with a chorus after each. There's not even a bridge. But it's breathtaking. I'm so passionate about this song
.When She Loved Me", Sarah McLachlan (by Randy Newman) -
This is from the Toy Story 2 soundtrack, and in the movie it's about companionship, not a romance. But it's still an excrutiating tearjerker about not feeling loved.
    "Losing My Religion", REM -
I'm not actually all that sure that this is about unrequited love, but it's always felt that way to me. Maybe lost love, or the process of losing it, would be closer... it's clearly love and pain, though, which is what makes it wallow-worthy
    Ghost", Indigo Girls -
"The Mississippi's mighty, but it starts in Minnesota at a place where you can walk across with five steps down. And I guess that's how you started, like a pinprick to my heart, and at this point you rush right through me and I start to drown." Ouch. Emily Saliers really has a way with words
Romeo and Juliet", Indigo Girls (by Mark Knopfler) -
I like the lyrics to this song -- it's actually a Dire Straits song that the Girls covered -- but I've got to say it's Amy Ray's impassioned performance which has led me to love it so dearly..
    Collecting You", Indigo Girls -
Another of Emily's songs..Also, she bemoans her "hairtrigger love and faulty spring". I think just about everyone, at some point, has fallen victim to their own over-eagerness to love.

    the burden of love

I only want to share the burdens of being in love with the wrong person. Some may find this very common but it's really true that it happened to me.It just came that we know that were having a mutual understanding of our feelings but neither of us dares to admit it.

At that time, the pain in my heart was unbearable. I keep on asking myself, why is the person you love most the one who will hurt you the most too? Days passed by and although I still love him that much and I know he loves me too, I decided to forget him. But it was really hard to forget.

wish I met you at the Right time and right place. No matter how much I wish though, my wish will never be granted. As you see, I fell in love at the wrong time and wrong place.

"If anyone here for any reason believe this man and woman should not be united, stand up or forever hold your peace."

    wrong

    wrong

    wrong

    wrong
I was born with the wrong sign
    In the wrong house
    With the wrong ascendancy
    I took the wrong road
That led to the wrong tendencies
I was in the wrong place at the wrong time
For the wrong reason and the wrong rhyme
On the wrong day of the wrong week
I used the wrong method with the wrong technique

    Wrong Wrong

There's something wrong with me chemically
    Something wrong with me inherently
The wrong mix in the wrong genes
I reached the wrong ends by the wrong means
    It was the wrong plan
    In the wrong hands
The wrong theory for the wrong man
The wrong eyes on the wrong prize The wrong questions with the wrong replies

    Wrong
